Coastal Paths run quite a distance around the island of Cyprus in between the beautiful beaches scattered along its shores.The closest most accessible one to Ayia Napa can take you from the harbour all the way along to Nissi beach passing many Hotels, beaches, WaterSports locations, greenery, sea views and beauty spots made for canvasses.

Head West out of Ayia Napa along Nissi Ave to Waterworld Waterpark and walk towards the coastline directly across, it’s a 3 minute walk. You can join a path on the edge of the sea. A beautiful long golden sanded beach runs about half a kilometre past that which looks a little like the Caribbean from across the water.

Heading East along the coast from the Harbour takes you past some lovely hotels up a slight hill and down the other side and along the coast where there are some great fishing and swim stops and a beautiful wedding venue. Beyond that, is a long slow incline a little inland up to Kavo Greko and the sea caves.

This is ideal to exercise along, have a romantic stroll or just walk alone with a camera enjoying it’s beautiful scenery whilst sunning yourself. The coastal walks in Ayia Napa are definitely worth doing to grab some great pictures, some sun and spend a day checking out the area and discovering its beauty.

Always apply plenty of sun cream for this kind of activity as the sea breeze can mislead your tanning judgement. Although Ayia Napa has one of the lowest crime rates in the world and most of the coastal paths have lighting. It’s always a good idea to walk with friends after dark and wear suitable footwear.
Where a hat and take a bottle of water with you as you can get dehydrated very quickly.
